Reptiles and amphibians

The reptiles and amphibians in RAMM's collections are preserved in a wide variety of ways. Many have been freeze-dried or are in the form of taxidermy. These specimens are very fragile and are easily damaged. Others have been kept in alcohol or formalin, which is particularly useful for preserving dissections for education purposes. And in some cases, only the skeletons remain.
