RAMM’s Development Trust has recently set up a system of Patronage enabling private individuals to become involved with the museum in a variety of ways.
Michael Morpurgo has recently become our Chief Patron and commenting on his appointment he said:
“Having lived in Devon for most of my life, it is thrilling to support RAMM, which has undergone a complete transformation over the past four years. Museums are a treasure house of possibilities filled with amazing objects and the many stories they can tell. They are wonderful places to nurture creativity and imagination and should be an essential part of every child's life.I am delighted to be supporting the Royal Albert Memorial Museum's Home to a Million Thoughts project and I hope you will join me in supporting it too.”
Should you wish to join our Patronage scheme the benefits are as follows:

- Invitations to private views and receptions
- Loan of a reproduction of a painting or exhibit
- Private visit to special exhibitions out-of-hours with up to 10 guests
- Guided gallery tours with RAMM staff
- Reduced prices for hire of rooms for private entertaining
- 10% discount in cafe
- Free membership of Friends
- Acknowledgement on website and in printed material
- Acknowledgement inside the museum
- Regular Communication
The Development RAMM is extremely grateful to all our Patrons for choosing to support us through their annual subscription. The money they raise provides an invaluable contribution towards the Museum’s core costs, helping to fund all our activities.
