HRH The Earl of Wessex KG GCVO visits RAMM
11 October 2012
Prince Edward The Earl of Wessex will visit RAMM on Tuesday 16 October.
His Royal Highness will be given a guided tour of the Museum and be introduced to a range of invited guests who have all played an important part in supporting and developing the Museum.
The visit comes ten months after the museum reopened to the public following a four-year closure and multi-million pound refurbishment that earned RAMM the Art Fund’s Museum of the Year Award 2012. His Royal Highness will be welcomed to the museum by the Lord Mayor of Exeter, Cllr Rob Newby, Leader of the City Council, Cllr Pete Edwards, and Chief Executive Philip Bostock.
To mark the occasion, The Earl will unveil an inscribed plaque commemorating his visit, which will later be installed in the foyer of the new garden entrance to the museum.
If you are planning to come to RAMM on Tuesday 16 October, please consider delaying your visit until the afternoon as there will be disruption to services during the morning.
