The Museum Cafe
RAMM’s café is run by Otterton Mill providing great meals, snacks, drinks and treats. The mill, near Budleigh Salterton in East Devon, has been milling flour for over 1,000 years and baking bread by hand for almost 40 years. Otterton Mill's on-site café and their café at the museum include dishes which feature the flour, bread and other baked delights produced at the Mill. This continues an ethos of local sourcing which has been held by Otterton Mill for four decades.
Our ethos
Simon and Caroline Spiller own these businesses and they feel lucky to operate in Devon: "We are surrounded by great ingredients, wonderful growers and hard working farmers and fishermen. Our idea and ethos is to celebrate these ingredients and our ancient milling heritage with an exciting range of wholesome and sustainable dishes and drinks."
Local produce
Awareness of where produce comes from, how far it has travelled and how it’s been handled is extremely important to them and forms the core of their business ethos at the RAMM café, as well as the Mill. Their creative bakery-centred menus are designed to deliver rustic authenticity, balanced nutrition and a fresh taste in both hearty and light bite meals and snacks. These are coupled with organic soft drinks and juices from Devon and outstanding coffee from Hawkins Coffee, the only company roasting their beans in Devon. All of this is served to you by an experienced team who care about good service and a warm welcome!
