Thomas Cadbury – Assistant Curator
My main focus is RAMM’s antiquities collection which covers local archaeology and history, numismatics and the archaeology of Egypt, the Mediterranean and Western Asia. As there are well over one million objects in the collection this keeps me busy.

I started working at RAMM in 2005 and so was part of the team that delivered the award-winning redevelopment.
I have a degree in archaeology from the University of Southampton and a masters in museology from the University of East Anglia.
My early career was spent alternating short contracts as an archaeologist and working in the Cambridge University Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology.
When I finished my masters in 1996 I moved to Lincolnshire.
During the summers of 1997 and 1998 I worked on a British Academy funded project in Namibia. This produced both an exhibition on rock art for the National Museum and a series of workshops for the many community-run museums around the country.
