University of Exeter
RAMM’s connection with the University of Exeter started in the early 20th Century. From 1922 RAMM was the University College of South West England. This lasted until 1955 when the present day university opened.
In 2019 the museum and university signed a new Memorandum of Understanding. This combines RAMM’s artefacts with university academic expertise to deliver new knowledge. Also, it gives students new training and work experience opportunities with the collections.
RAMM now works in partnership with the University of Exeter on projects, exhibitions and research. There is an emphasis on public engagement and achieving sustainable impact. UK and international funders let researchers explore the potential of RAMM’s collections.
The Research collection at RAMM shows all potential researchers what the museum collections offer.
