Lending objects
RAMM cares for wonderful and diverse collections consisting of over one million individual objects and specimens from all over the globe. The collections contain items of local, national and international importance. Many are of outstanding historical or cultural significance. The museum sends objects from the collection on loan to research and cultural venues around world. It also borrows items from other collections.
Loans from RAMM’s collection
If you wish to borrow an item from RAMM’s collection please contact the relevant subject curator to make initial enquiries. Please also follow the guidance in the Conditions of Loans Out document.
Lending items to RAMM
From time to time RAMM borrows items from other organisations and private individuals for specific exhibitions and displays. The museum does not accept items on long term loan. If you are local and have an interesting collection of small items you’d like to display at RAMM then the What do you Collect? case in the Finders Keepers? gallery might be for you. For all private and institutional loans to RAMM please see the Conditions of Loans In document.
