The Seaton Down Hoard team worked with community groups from history societies to children in care. There have been activities, such as talks, tours and workshops available. This important community work enabled us to share Devon’s history and help everyone to find out about the hoard.
Special workshops took place with St Sidwell’s Community Centre and for University of Exeter students.
The Seaton Down Hoard project team also worked with the employees of Thomas Reuters to conserve the hoard. Conservation workshops were enjoyed by metal detectorists and members of the public.
In total over 20,000 people enjoyed activities relating to the Seaton Down Hoard.
