Follow the music
9 August 2016
Two new digital museum trails help visitors explore RAMM’s galleries and discover more about the collections.
The RAMMusical trail is 30 minutes of music-themed discovery. It covers galleries on both floors and includes sounds from half of the twelve instruments in the trail. Use the hash tag #RAMMusical to share your experiences on Twitter.
Families with children can use Bird Adventure to discover different kinds of birds and bird-inspired art from all over the world. Start in the bird gallery, In Fine Feather, and follow the trail throughout the top floor galleries. Take pictures with your favourite birds and share them on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #rammbirdadventure. Find all 9 birds and head to the RAMM gift shop to collect your sticker.
Made in Exeter
Both trails were created by Performing Digital Humanities students at the University of Exeter. Bird Adventure was made by Cajame Chanter, Grayson Ponti, Dan Linh Luong and Sarah Goble and the RAMMusical trail by Adam Smith, Cara Minnix, Georgina Sloan and Tony Lea.
Exeter Time Trail
Over ten trails around RAMM, Exeter and one exploring decorative plasterwork throughout Devon are all free on Exeter Time Trail. They are linked to RAMM’s collections and exhibitions. Gallery trails can be enjoyed using the museum’s free Wifi.
