Mrs Treadwin’s lace album

Mrs Treadwin established her Exeter ‘Manufactory’ near the Cathedral. There a team of skilled workers produced fine bobbin and needle laces. Ellen Herbert took over her business on Mrs Treadwin’s death. Ellen organised examples of Mrs Treadwin’s own work and other pieces into an album. The album came to RAMM in memory of Mrs Treadwin on Ellen’s death in 1929.
