My favourite object by Daniel McLoughlin
12 January 2015
Some of the regular visitors to the Royal Albert Memorial Museum & Gallery in Exeter were asked to select their favourite object from the Making History Gallery and to talk about why the object and the museum are special to them.
I usually come to the museum with my granddad. It has lots of different objects in it. I like watching the videos, and I like the giraffe.
I chose the bell as my favourite object. At first, we didn’t know what the writing on it said, but then we found out that it was Latin.
We’d seen the bell before but I didn’t know much about it then so I wanted to find out more because I knew it was quite old.
I think it might not work very well because it’s been sitting there for a long time, but it would probably make a very low sound.
You can find out more about the favourite objects of some of RAMM’s other visitors in our video.
