Garden Tiger Moth (Arctia caja) numbers have declined by around 90% since the 70s. Artist Sarah Gillespie chose to illustrate this dramatic decline through four delicate drawings, commissioned by RAMM to go on display during exhibition ‘Wild’ this summer. Using charcoal and pencil on paper, Sarah created the drawings from detailed study of Arctia caja specimens in RAMM’s collection.
