Friends Annual General Meeting
Virtual AGM 2020
The 52nd Annual General Meeting for the Friends of RAMM was held by Zoom on 30 November 2020 with 19 Friends in attendance. We were joined by Camilla Hampshire, Museums Manager for a brief but inspiring talk setting out how active RAMM had been in the face of the pandemic.
The AGM normally takes place during the summer, and the committee had waited in the hope that a real gathering would be possible. Sadly this was not the case, and reluctantly the decision was taken to meet virtually, rather than postpone indefinitely. The meeting approved the report and accounts for 2019-20.
In his report as Chair, Alan Caig hoped that all members were coping with the difficulties of the past year, and looked forward to better times. He thanked the retiring members of the committee, Treasurer Jan Beddall, Vice chairman Norman Shiel, and Judie Yung, Molly Todd and Lesley Robson, all of whom had been heavily involved for many years with the programme of the Friends – they will all be very much missed.
The following officers were re-elected
- President: Lady Anne Boles
- Vice-Presidents: John Allan, Rt. Hon. Ben Bradshaw, Very Revd. Jonathan Greener
- Chair: Alan Caig
- Hon. Secretary: Izzy Birch
- Hon. Treasurer: Irene Herman
