Volunteer at RAMM this Summer
9 March 2017
Do you like talking to people? Do you have an interest in art and natural history? Would you like to join an enthusiastic team helping visitors engage with RAMM’s summer exhibition Sea-Life: Glimpses of the Wonderful? The museum is now recruiting volunteer exhibition guides.
Sea Life exhibition
Through a playful mix of historic objects, illustrations, live creatures and contemporary craft, Sea Life: Glimpses of the Wonderful combines science and art to inspire a greater appreciation of Devon’s glorious coastline. The exhibition and its varied events programme is suitable for visitors of all ages. It embraces the study of the seashore from the early Victorian period, a fascination popularised by pioneer marine biologist Philip Henry Gosse who investigated and created illustrations of Devon’s coastal life. The exhibition explores the invention of the aquarium from Victorian times to the present day and the subsequent advances in marine science.
