Introducing the new RAMM Community Panel.

A group of people whose views will help to shape the creative programme and wider activities at the museum

RAMM is delighted to announce the introduction of its new Community Panel. This group of 12 local people will provide independent feedback and ideas from a community perspective to support the development of RAMM’s programme and activities. It will help to ensure the museum is accessible to all and reflects the voices and interests of local communities.

Through a recruitment process the team at RAMM heard from a wide range of people who were interested in this opportunity. We are excited to begin working with the 12 successful individuals, and look forward to hearing their thoughts and ideas.

Across the independently facilitated meetings we will hold each year, the group will have the opportunity to reflect on various projects planned for the museum. The first project the group will be tackling is an upcoming exhibition planned for summer 2024.

Clare Dumbleton, one of the new community panel members, says “I’m so over the moon to be chosen to be part of RAMM’s new Community Panel. I’m looking forward to this great opportunity to work alongside the staff and volunteers of the RAMM to create interesting, accessible, and interactive experiences for everyone to enjoy!”
